This month I was delighted to be an artist at the Sydney Festival. It was an amazing experience for me and I’d pleased to report that the Festival and their whole team were amazing. I felt like a superstar.
I performed 5 shows over 5 days in Hyde Park for Children from my Cooking Up A Song kids album.
The highlights we definitely performing for kids at the Sydney Children’s Hospital and also finding out that someone from ABC had come to watch my show. IN fact, they even came and said hi and had a good old chat. I also met an amazing lady from the Australian Arts Council who writes musicals for kids. Perhaps we’ll collaborate. This is a bucket-list thing of mine so I was peaking after meeting her.
So great to be home again. It’s so quiet in our valley. Especially after mid-city Sydney. The apricots are abundant and my garden is on steroids. I love living here.
Watch this space for progress on Doodlebug TV in 2016.
And finally, if you’re a festival goer, here’s one for those of you in the Central Otago area at the end of this moth. River Range Music Fest is a relatively new festival that has seen rapid growth in the last couple of years. With a focus on being accessible for everyone the River Range team have put together a great line up for 2016. I’ll be performing my grown up stuff for big kids with my Anna & Me partner Anna Rowley. If you can make this one it’s destined to be one of those awesome old-skool events that is both memorable and full of great energy.
See you there!
