Free Song for Kids during Maori Language Week
I’ve been growing my vocabulary in our Native NZ Te Reo Maori language and one of the best ways I learn is through song. Writing songs in Maori has been as beneficial for my learning as it has been for kids.
In celebration of Maori Language week, I’m giving away the first single from my soon-to-be-released children’s album Fishing for Stars.
An annual event, Maori language week in 2018 runs from September 10-16th.
Haere Mai translates as “come here”. I wrote this track for Hawea Kindergarten after my sons’ teacher mentioned they’d love a new welcome song to call the children to the mat. The song is fun, interactive and has actions so I think it’ll go down well.
I hope you enjoy it too xxx
